On 3 September 2022, a team of top executives of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Bangladesh visited Hamdard University Bangladesh campus and planted 500 valuable and rare plants. These activities were sponsored by SCB as a part of their CSR program. A batch of 200 volunteers of the bank and high officials of both the organizations participated in the program. After the tree plantation activities an interactive discussion session was held at the board room of the University with both the parties. The meeting was addressed by The Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Faruque-UzZaman Chowdhury, Advisor Professor Dr. Md. Amanullah, Treasurer Professor Dr. Abul Khair, Registrar Dr. Md. Moazzom Hossain and the Controller of Examinations Md. Nurul Huda in presence of senior officials from Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Bangladesh. Both the parties agreed that post plantation nurturing of the plant saplings will be taken care of by Hamdard University Bangladesh.
